Lord and God,
Surely there is a God who judges on earth: he who gave his statutes and rules and commandments on Sinai. Surely there is a reward for the righteous: he who will gather to table from Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and from East and West.
You are the Lord of all the earth; the God of the Jews, purifying lepers and commanding the offering of Moses; the God of the gentiles, healing from afar with only the word of faith asked of you. Let us turn from our idols, Creatorless creation which envelop us in death, vain gods which cannot judge us in truth, and call you alone God. We are not worthy that you should assume our flesh, put our sins to death, bring our life and immortality to light, be your people with you our God forever. But you have given your word—your Son—and we are healed. You alone are God, and you alone are our reward.
