Lord and Savior,
You who enlisted your people to defend the tabernacle and advance your kingdom, you who commissioned the twelve with divine power and authority, and you who continues your mission through us now to the ends of the earth and the age, come to our rescue. Without you, our enemies—the world, the flesh, and the devil—will triumph over us. Without your power, we find ourselves defeated, seduced, and oppressed.
Vain is our salvation, but with you we will do valiantly, as we proclaim the gospel: your power for salvation. Defend your people, set free the captives, and bring your kingdom.
