Lord and God,
Kings you laid low, impossible things you accomplished, salvation you brought, and still our hearts were far from you. Our history sickens us with its repetitions, yet they tested and rebelled against the Most High God, and did not keep his testimonies. Moses himself, the mediator, bore with us, and could not enter the land on our account.
And now, Jesus Christ, your Son, the ultimate mediator has come and laid death low, brought us into your impossible kingdom, and given us everlasting salvation. Let this be enough for us, Most High God. Let the upright Shepherd himself make us fishers of men, that we walking after his own heart, might make disciples who follow him. Let his everlasting presence bring us to the end of the age, that the one you have chosen may choose us to bring us near to you forever. May the cycle of salvation and sin come to a halt forever with this, your final salvation. For your glory.
