Epiphany 44

Lord and God,

You who spoke the way of righteousness and life, who bid us to love you—and along with you, all goodness and holiness, who manifested godliness in the life of Jesus Christ, deliver us again from sin and suffering. For your name’s sake, hear us when we call, and hear us when we call.

You are the God who heard and knew your son, sick with sin, miserable by oppression in Egypt. And out you called him. You called your well pleasing son out of the grave, never again to die. Call again your son, every member of his body, sick and miserable again, away from godlessness and into your light. And let us give you thanks forever, recounting your praise from generation to generation.
