Lord and God,
You who made provisions for your people, giving a refuge from the blood avenger and reprieve from battle for those yet to enjoy what you blessed them with in life, you who had compassion on the hungry, you who are slow to anger and abound in steadfast love and faithfulness, preserve us.
Protect us from our enemies, natural and supernatural. For Christ has given us reprieve, by joining the battle on the cross and letting other men enjoy what is rightfully his. Unite our heart to fear your name, through him who suffered much to give us life in abundance. Give your strength to your servant that we might serve you no matter the cost, knowing in Christ you have given us all already.
