Lord and God,
You who devoted nations to destruction and chose a people for salvation, have mercy. We provoke your wrath as we hide away the fruits of sin in our lives. We mark ourselves for destruction, whom you marked for salvation by the lamb’s blood.
Yet in Christ our eyes have seen your salvation, and your irrevocable blessing. Let us hide him away in our hearts, that they may not melt. Let us treasure the light for revelation to the gentiles and the glory of your people Israel. Let us worship you in the splendor of his holiness. For he finally and he alone will judge. Glory to God in the highest.
