Easter 14

Lord and God,

Blessed are you, Lord Jesus Christ. You who opened not your mouth when being reviled, when suffering, when persecuted, you who were betrayed at the hands of one of your own commissioned men to follow in your path.

Blessed are all those who say to Christ, wherever my lord the king shall be, whether for death or life, there also will your servant be. Only let our allegiance be to you alone, merciful Savior. Give grace to all those whom you have called to proclaim your rule and name, in word and in deed. Seek your servants who have strayed, and strengthen us in your love to keep your word.
