Easter 43

Lord and God,

To you who made Israel numerous the stars in the sky, yet who made one man to hold the stars in his hand be everlasting praise, glory, and power. Let Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth, Young men and maidens together, old men and children praise you.

Let us hear what your Spirit says, whether to the generations of old or to the infant church. Let us learn what you love and hate and walk in keeping with our repentance and faith. For you see the righteousness you work in us, and you will not despise works done through you. Let us cleave to Jesus Christ and find in him the horn of your salvation. Him you have raised up, throughout all Israel’s history, a promised heir of salvation. Renew us in his image that all our lives may praise you.
