Lord and God,
We glory in you today. Your high praises are in our throats, and Israel sings its Maker a new song. For our same old story and same old song ends in sin and death. We wandered from your ways like lost sheep; we ran after idols like faithless wives, but you were always faithful.
Humble us, and adorn us with salvation. Speak, Spirit, to your church. Train us to renounce the evils in our hearts and world with the machinations of the evil one. Call us by your name in Christ, and write his God’s name on us. Put the song of New Jerusalem on our lips. For you open and no one may shut. You have saved us, and we sing for joy.
