Lord and God,
Heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, much less a temple made by human hands. Yet, you appoint for your name to dwell on the earth—a place for your people to turn to you, pray to you, be heard by you, serve you. You build your kingdom.
As for the other kingdom, the great city which traffics and profits in riches and human souls, which profanes the world with wickedness and immorality, you will bring sudden destruction to it. For our sake, in an hour Babylon will fall. Restore your captive people. Help those who live now in darkness. Through the abundance of your steadfast love, let us enter your house and find you a refuge.
