OT 15

Lord and God,

Satisfy us with your likeness. Like the Kings of old, let us remember Moses the man of God, and David with whom you were pleased. Let us keep the feast of your deliverance with reverence and joy.

Most of all, help us to remember Christ, in whom the fullness of God dwells bodily. In him, we have the Spirit and righteousness. In him, the deeds of our flesh die and we come alive to you. He is your likeness, your son. And by offering him, you make of us sons and fellow heirs. Let us cry out to you in his innocence for deliverance. Let us groan with him for our adoption and the future glory. Satisfy us with your likeness, for nothing else will do.
