Lord and God,
I will look upon you in the land of the living, a vision unseen, unheard, unimaginable. Yet with the mind of Christ, we have knowledge of things unsearchable. The kingdom work to which you called us, the rebuilding of ancient walls, the defense of a temple made and remade by human hands, cannot account for this.
The walls we build tumble again and again, yet in you our work is not in vain. Those who jeer at you and despise you laugh at our labors. Indeed, they are small, yet who would instruct you? Who would teach us as we act out of the mind of Christ? With you is both wisdom and power, so let us turn to you in prayer, forsaking the laughter and derision of men. Our work is noble, because it is in you. And the work of our hands is truly the work of your hand in every way in which it adheres to your will. Shine through it. Shine through us.
