OT 55

Lord and God,

Be merciful to us, O God, be merciful. We cry to you who fulfills his purpose and promise, for we are in the midst of lions. Man who exalts himself, the sons of pride, set their mouths against us. Yet, will they condemn you and justify themselves? The just shall live by faith in you.

Count us, therefore, righteous in Christ. We do not presume to put ourselves in the right against you, but we believe in he who counts us in his own righteousness. The law condemns us, but Christ fulfills it for us. Be exalted, O God, you who are just and justifier, you who takes the curse from us by becoming a curse for us. Let your glory be over all the earth.
