Lord and God,
Let the righteous rejoice before you, O Lord, you who has given us glimpses into your great day. As at the vindication of Job, he who was righteous yet put you more in the right than himself. He rejoiced to see your day, as will all those who begin in wisdom with the fear of the Lord.
Terror will strike those who do evil and despise the correction of wisdom. The inheritance of the wicked is thorns and whirlwind, but in the fullness of time you sent forth your son, born of woman and under the law. Christ has redeemed us making us heirs not of wrath but of his Spirit. By him we cry to you, our Father: Surely there is a reward for the righteous. Surely, the God who judges all has come graciously to the earth.
