Lord and God,
Speak your conquest in holiness over your enemies, Lord God Almighty. Yet our own flesh rages against you. We embrace desires and enticements at war with you. The Spirit and the flesh rage against one another. Should we not rather sow to the Spirit and reap life? Should we not rather embrace you, our true Husband, than to love sin and toxic desires?
Bear our burdens, Lord Jesus Christ. Help us to turn from our sins and find grace to walk uprightly before you. Crucify the world to us, and let die the evil desires within. With you, we shall do valiantly and live to you only as Lord and lover of our souls.
